I was born in Oklahoma in 1955 but grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at the age of 16. My wife, Cindy, and I were married in 1979 and have one son, Adam, who was born in 1981. While working as a general contractor in Albuquerque I felt God’s call upon my life and surrendered to full-time ministry. In 1991 we moved to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Seminary. I received a degree in music in 1994 and in 1996 graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Education. In June of 1996 the Lord brought us to Parkway Baptist Church for me to serve as Associate Pastor of Music and Education. I have been serving as Senior Pastor since January 2002. I have been immeasurably blessed each day the Lord allows me to serve Him. I invite you to come and celebrate the love of Christ with God’s family at Parkway Baptist Church, A Home For Your Heart!
1 John 4:7-10
Associate Pastor of Music
In April 1957 a godly dad and mom birthed a scrawny baby boy. Nurtured in a Christian home, this kid grew up knowing the love of a heavenly Father and in June 1964 gave his heart to Jesus. That kid is me, Bob Morris.
When you are blessed by so much love, it seems only natural to share it. The opportunity came in December 1988. While serving as part-time minister of music at Steep Hollow Baptist Church, God called me to full-time ministry. I was not exactly academically gifted. But when God leads, He gives you what you need. So I entered Southwestern Seminary in the fall of 1989, where I miraculously received a degree in church music in 1993, and then a Master of Music Degree in 1994. God was not done with miracles-He introduced me to another seminary student, Jill Black, who would become my best friend and wife and also the mother of our two wonderful children, Rebekah and Zachary.
After leaving seminary I served in churches in Texas and Mississippi. In April of 2002, I accepted the Lord's call to serve as Associate Pastor of Music and Youth here at Parkway. I've seen God's miracles, and I'm looking forward to seeing the Lord move in mighty ways at Parkway Baptist Church.
Yours in Christ,
Behold, children are a gift of the Lord... Psalm 127:3
I believe the truth of that scripture with my whole heart! My name is Jennifer Medlock and I am a beloved child of God, a wife to my best friend, a mom to some pretty amazing kiddos, and the children's minister here at Parkway Baptist Church.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and have begun work on a Master's Degree in Childhood Ministry through Dallas Baptist University. I decided to make Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord on a youth retreat my sophomore year of high school. That day marked the beginning of an amazing lifelong journey of growing in faith and learning to trust Him more each day.
I am passionate about teaching children the love that God has for them. Seeing kids begin to understand the truth of His Word is my greatest joy! I have been exceedingly blessed to serve with the staff here at Parkway, and continue to look forward to the amazing things that God is doing here at PBC.

No matter how small, I truly believe children have a large impact in the Kingdom of God. As the verse says, what we are taught when we are young can shape our whole lives. I truly believe this verse, and am thankful I have godly parents that demonstrated this in my life.
I'm Rebekah Callen and I'm blessed to serve as Parkway Baptist Church's Preschool Director. I was born in Cameron, Texas in 1987. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home that loved and served the Lord. I surrendered my life to Christ at age 7. My father has been a minister my whole life, and this has given me the opprotunity to serve in churches in several capacities throughout my life.
I attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated with a BA in Psychology. While obtaining my degree, I was able to start to feel God's call on my life to serve children through helping run a local non-profit program for at-risk children. I then met my, now, husband, Dustin, at the church I was attending. We got married in August of 2010 and were blessed with a son, Eli, in 2012. After his birth, I went back to school and obtained my MA in Sociology from Sam Houston State University. I then began to feel a strong call to preschool ministry. I believe God has used all my experiences, education and passion for leading children to Christ to help serve in the Preschool department at Parkway. I am excited to serve the Lord here and am blessed to help these amazing preschoolers learn about Christ.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

I asked Christ to be my Savior in 3rd grade but did not have a real awareness of making Him Lord of my life until high school. From that time on I have felt a real awareness that counseling would be my ministry. My husband, Steve, and I have been members of Parkway since 1990 and we have been truly blessed while here. We have 6 children: Josh, Danielle, Elissa, Sarah, Caleb, and Zachary. I received my bachelor degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos then came to A&M to complete my education. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 and became a licensed psychologist in 1996. In addition, I have had many hours of continuing education in Christian counseling through Focus on the Family, American Association of Christian Counselors, Christian Counselors of Texas and Theophostic Ministry. In 1996, I began counseling at Parkway.
I believe I am very strongly influenced by the Christian training that I have received. My goal is always to help with concerns while leading others to grow in Christ. Although I have an eclectic style with an emphasis on cognitive/behavioral techniques my primary belief as a Christian counselor is to base understanding of people and their problems on Scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to heal.
Counseling is available to anyone with an issue I feel competent to address. There is no set fee for counseling services - suggested donations are according to income. I work primarily with adults but see some adolescents. Common areas include adjustment to life situations, depression, anxiety, anger, marital/family problems, and financial concerns. It is appropriate to consider counseling whenever things seem to be keeping you from an effective or meaningful life or you simply want an opportunity to think through things more clearly and objectively. If you have other questions about the counseling ministry, please contact me at my email.
Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
I have my roots deep in the heart of Texas. I was born in Corpus Christi, but grew up in Houston in the 1950's and 1960's. I was fortunate to have loving parents(who are now in their late 80's but still going strong) who brought me up in my Christian faith at an early age. I attended Spring Branch schools in the Houston area and had some great teachers who inspired and motivated me. I met my high school sweetheart (Susan) there in 1969, we married in 1974 and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and four grandsons during our 42 years of marriage.
After attending the Virginia Military Institute my freshman year of college, I transferred to Texas A&M and was a 1974 graduate with a bachelor's degree in Finance. After working for a number of years in the US Treasury Department, public accounting, and oil field services, I eventually found my true calling and spent the last 22 years of my career working with students as a teacher and public school administrator in Houston. In 2013, my wife and I retired to College Station and are loving life here in the Brazos Valley. Before joining the staff at Parkway Baptist Church, I spent the previous two years as the part-time bookkeeper for one of the local animal shelters.
As I look back on my life of 64 years, I realize that God has led me on an incredible journey. Throughout the inevitable peaks and valleys that I have experienced in life, I know that Jesus has been with me every step of the way. I look forward to traveling the path he has waiting for me in the future, and I am thankful he has provided me the opportunity to be a member of the ministry team here at Parkway Baptist Church.
